When you work for Guardian, you’ll have a choice of High Deductible Health Plans (HDHP) for medical coverage. Our plans include a large number of in-network doctors and health care providers, as well as discounts if you decide to use an out-of-network provider.

One advantage of enrolling in Guardian’s HDHP is that you may be eligible to participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA). With its tax advantages in contributions and withdrawals for qualified health care expenses, easy access to savings, future growth potential and the ability to roll it over year to year, the HSA is a unique savings method*.

Depending on the plan you enroll in, Guardian may make a contribution to your HSA.

When you enroll in our medical plans, you’ll also be automatically enrolled in prescription drug coverage.

Dental care

Our plan offers a network of approved dental care providers and emphasizes routine preventive care by covering 100 percent of preventive services. 

Vision care

Guardian offers two vision options for you to choose from. The vision plan you choose will ensure that annual exams are free and that you can receive savings through a national network of high-quality vision care providers.

Income protection

When you start with Guardian you’ll be automatically covered with disability income insurance that provides regular income for both short-term and long-term periods if you can’t work due to illness or injury. We also offer an additional 10 percent of long-term disability coverage that you can purchase to protect more of your income.

Life insurance

On your first day at Guardian, you’ll be enrolled in life insurance coverage at no cost to you. You can purchase additional term life insurance coverage, or you can take advantage of our employee-only discount on whole life insurance. 

Retirement planning

Guardian provides a competitive 401(k) plan that allows you to save for retirement. Guardian adds to your savings by contributing to your 401(k), matching 100 percent of the first one percent of your pay that you contribute and 50 percent on the next five percent of your eligible pay.

The company also provides a contribution to your 401(k) on an annual basis, ranging from two to six percent of your eligible pay. Additionally, Guardian has the discretion to make another special contribution annually, based on the company’s earnings, to your 401(k), which can range between one and three percent of your eligible pay.
