In the past two years, half of education organizations experienced reduced staff due to employee retirement or resignation (49%) compared to an average of 34% across other industries. The unmanageable workloads, attrition among peers, and failure to hire enough staff in all school positions is so prevalent that educators are more likely than workers in other industries to leave the profession or retire early.

Despite having the highest percentage of dissatisfaction with their overall benefits package, workers in education feel their job is meaningful. Almost half (49%) of education employees, far more than any other industry, feel that what they do makes a difference.

Download the report to learn more about the benefits outliers within the education industry — where it leads, where it lags, and the sector's greatest challenges.

In a stressful work environment, it is the lack of meaningful benefits for workers in education that is resulting in a trend of retirement and resignation.
