Michael Ferik is Head of Individual Markets at The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America (Guardian). He is responsible for the products and services positioned to inspire well-being for customers and for helping to secure the future of both agency distribution and Guardian’s broker dealer, Park Avenue Securities.
Michael is focused on delivering differentiated client value and exceptional services across Guardian’s product portfolio including life and disability insurance, annuities, and wealth management services.
Michael has over two decades of insurance industry experience. He previously served as Guardian’s Chief Financial Officer and was responsible for leading the financial, risk, actuarial, and internal audit functions.
Before joining Guardian in 2009, Ferik was the Senior Vice President & Head of Life Practices at AXA-Equitable. Prior to that, his experience included working as an associate with McKinsey and Co.; then as Vice President and Actuary with Manulife in Singapore, and as an actuary with Manulife in its U.S. Life division.
Michael earned a Bachelor of Science degree (Actuarial Science and Economics) from the University of Toronto. He became a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in 1998.
