Michael Prestileo

Michael Prestileo is the Chief Strategy Officer at The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America (Guardian). In his role, he leads the Enterprise Strategy & Growth Initiatives organization and serves as a member of Chairman and CEO Andrew McMahon’s leadership team.

Mike is responsible for overseeing the Enterprise Strategy, Corporate Development, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Growth Portfolio functions, with a focus on driving enterprise growth opportunities and creating better outcomes for Guardian’s businesses and customers.

Mike joined Guardian in 2020 as Chief Commercial Officer for the Group Benefits business. In his role, he delivered significant growth and innovation in Group’s product portfolio and distribution network while overseeing all aspects of sales, client management, product management and business strategy.

With 20 years of industry experience, Mike previously held senior leadership roles at Lincoln Financial Group and Liberty Mutual across group benefits, individual life and annuities, and commercial P&C lines. He has led organizations spanning the entire insurance value chain, including strategy, distribution, finance, pricing & underwriting, and product management.

Mike has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (Mass.) and an MBA from Boston University.
