Jonathan Mayhew

Jonathan Mayhew is Head of Group Benefits at the Guardian Life Insurance Company of America (Guardian). In this role, Jonathan is charged with advancing Guardian’s Group Benefits strategy, driving business growth across all markets and positioning the company as a trusted partner of choice.

Jonathan is responsible for a wide portfolio of employee group benefit products and services that inspire well-being® — including dental, vision, life, disability, absence management, mental health and supplemental health products such as hospital indemnity insurance and critical illness coverage.

Before joining Guardian, Jonathan served as CEO of Ontrak, Inc., a virtual behavioral health company focused on helping individuals with complex, chronic medical conditions access the behavioral health support they need.

Prior to Ontrak, he was Executive Vice President of Transformation at CVS Health where he had oversight of the portfolio of business transformation initiatives across the enterprise to define CVS as a consumer-centric health care company. He also served as the Senior Vice President for the Aetna Markets organization, where he played a key role in shaping CVS Health’s integrated value story while leading the multibillion-dollar business to deliver innovative, customer-focused benefits solutions.

Jonathan was a founding Principal, CEO and President of Freedom Disability, a national Social Security Disability Advocacy group. He also held senior leadership roles at Cigna, including Senior Vice President of Product, Marketing and Strategy for the enterprise and President of the Northeast Region.

Jonathan is a board member of Trycycle Data Systems, whose mission is to help clinicians simplify remote data collection for risk analysis and early intervention by pairing technology-based tools with compassionate health protocols. He also served on the boards of AbleTo, a technology-enabled provider of behavioral health care, and Strong Center, a non-profit organization that empowers youth to maximize their talents through athletics and education.
