Video transcript - Kardani
We all like to believe, other people get sick, other people die.
We take health for granted.
Only when we lose it, we realize how important it is.
I have been a guardian agent since 1985, and I have never come across a situation where I couldn't find a guardian product to fulfill the needs of my client.
Since the last 35 years that I've been in the business, I talk to most of my clients, two or three times a year, for any reason I can think of.
Dr. Cardone was introduced to me by one of the existing clients.
He purchased life insurance, disability insurance.
And subsequently as set up his pension plans also.
Over the years as he prospered, I kept in touch with him and his family through phone and visiting here often.
When Dr. Cardone gave me the news that he got MS, and he's never going to be able to work as a doctor again, and it was a shock to me because we believe that these things happen to other people, but this was a real client of mine and I was a little bit disturbed to say the least.
That same weekend, I came to visit them.
When we sat at the dining table, they were both extremely serious.
As I went through each and every policy and explained the benefits, I could see them coming to life.
Suddenly, I could see the clouds lifting.
He didn't know that he had a disability waiver.
He said, "Do have to still pay for the disability insurance?
Do I still have to pay for the life insurance?"
And he was in disbelief when I told him, "No, you don't have to pay anything."
I could see them getting relieved that they wouldn't have to worry about money.
Both the daughters happened to be in medical schools, and he didn't have to worry about income because the guardian was providing those benefits.
So they could pursue their dreams, they will never have to worry about money.
That's the last thing on their mind.
Dr. Cardone himself told me, he says, "Tell them my story."
He's given me permission to share his story.
He says "Thank God I have this."
So this is the message, whether you're young or old.
You must have protection place, whether it's a disability policy, or a life insurance.
That's called good financial planning.
That's the meaning of protection in my book.
That's what Guardian stands for.
That's what I stand for.
When I go to visit them even today, it's like going to a friend's house.
It's not a business thing anymore at all.
