Partnering with
Team Rubicon
How Guardian’s contributions to this incredible organization have impacted their disaster relief operations
Supporting health equity
Guardian committed $1 million to Team Rubicon's vaccination efforts to support health equity in communities across the country. Vaccine equity is a shared priority and took shape in multiple distribution methods including mass, fixed, mobile, and porch vaccinations. Through grant funding and volunteer activations, our partnership has resulted in more than 1.6 million COVID-19 vaccinations across 105 cities in the US.
How Guardian fueled Team Rubicon’s impact in 2021
In December 2020, Team Rubicon expanded support efforts in the fight against COVID-19 to assist with the delivery and distribution of vaccines.
Since then, Team Rubicon has provided operational expertise and logistics management for site setup at mass vaccination locations as well as supplemental help to hospital staff. Team Rubicon also worked with local health departments, the Office of Veterans Affairs, and FEMA to help medical professionals turn vaccines into vaccinations.
Navajo Nation
At the beginning of the pandemic, the Navajo Nation had the highest per capita case rates of COVID-19 in the country and is a community with high vulnerability. Team Rubicon supported hospitals by providing additional emergency room staff and assisting with testing and vaccination efforts. With the latest surge of the Delta variant, Team Rubicon has returned to assist the emergency department.

Chinatown, Los Angeles
Team Rubicon partnered with a local health center in Chinatown, Los Angeles to offer walk-up and mobile vaccination support. Barriers to vaccine access included language gaps and transportation. Multilingual speakers were on site to assist with registration, and mobile clinics went directly into the community.
St. Louis, MO
Team Rubicon partnered with the St. Louis Fire Department and City of St. Louis Department of Health to identify homebound individuals interested in receiving the vaccination. Volunteers, firefighters, and paramedics traveled to each home to administer the vaccine.
Team Rubicon and the medical teams traversed St. Louis, reaching about 10 homes daily.
