Notice to FL, GA, NC, SC, PR, USVI Customers
Posted October 11, 2017

In September 2017, Hurricanes Irma and Maria produced significant storm damage and widespread flooding in parts of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.  Guardian expresses its sympathy to all individuals and families who have been impacted by these hurricanes.

Recognizing the extent of the damage to Florida residents and business owners in all Florida counties, Guardian is adhering to the Florida Office of Insurance Regulations’ 90-day extension of the grace period for premium due dates for our affected policyholders in these counties until December 3, 2017.  In addition, Guardian will grant this same extension for all contractual provisions or other policy or contract related requirements that impose a time frame for response.  This applies to all brokerage, life, annuity, disability, long term care, and retirement customers in the impacted counties.

If you are not a resident or business owner in one of the affected areas listed above, but geographically border one of these affected areas, please contact your agent or a customer service representative to discuss your request for an extension with your premium payment, a policy provision, or other policy or contract related requirement due during the aforementioned extension period.
