Prior to joining Guardian, Ms. LaTorre had a nearly 30-year career at Aetna, where she was most recently Chief Investment Officer and Corporate Economist overseeing the management of more than $40 billion in diversified assets. Additionally, she led the pensions business and economic analysis, and chaired Aetna Capital Management, the company's fully owned hedge fund. She joined Aetna in 1991 as an Investment Officer providing credit analysis for portfolio managers of Aetna Inc. and its subsidiaries, and held roles of increasing responsibility, particularly within fixed income, throughout her tenure at the company. Prior to that, Ms. LaTorre worked at the Municipal Bond Insurance Association and the investment bank Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.

Ms. LaTorre is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). She also maintains a commitment to the community by serving on the Board of Trustees for Kingswood Oxford School and the Investment subcommittee of Hartford HealthCare.

Ms. LaTorre earned a Master of Business Administration from New York University's Stern School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and English from the State University of New York at Albany.
