The Infectious Contagious Disease Benefit offers employees direct, support for the unique challenges posed by COVID-19. In addition, it covers 11 other infectious and contagious diseases.
How it works
The benefit will pay 30 percent of the lump sum critical illness insurance coverage in the event an employee is diagnosed by a doctor with one of the covered diseases while insured by Guardian, and confined to a hospital for five or more consecutive days as a result of the disease.1
Added protection for Coronavirus
This optional benefit helps to protect employees in the event of a COVID-19 diagnosis. It also applies to any future strains of the coronavirus that may cause severe illness and hospitalization.
