A recent Harris Poll study named Guardian as Brand of the Year in the Life Insurance category. The Harris Poll EquiTrend Study® ranks the strongest brands across industries based on consumer response.
Each brand in the Harris Poll survey received approximately 1,000 ratings. The EquiTrend study measures brand health over time, with three factors ⎯ Familiarity, Quality, and Purchase Consideration ⎯ contributing to an “equity rating” for each brand. Several factors likely contributed to our ranking in the study, including our revamped website, electronic policy delivery and smartphone applications, our expanded presence on social media, and repeated industry recognition of our call center. Our Retirement Call Center has been recognized by J.D. Power six years in a row for providing "An Outstanding Customer Service Experience" for the live phone channel. For the second consecutive year, Guardian’s Individual Disability Income Insurance business topped the DALBAR insurance contact center rankings and earned the Insurance Service Award. We were the only insurance provider to earn this distinction for 2016.
Guardian Life Insurance received the highest numerical Equity Score and the highest numerical score relating to Trust and Love among Life Insurance brands included in the 2017 Harris Poll EquiTrend® Study, which is based on opinions of 102,617. U.S. consumers ages 15 and over surveyed online between December 30, 2016 and February 21, 2017.
