Guardian has learned that counterfeit checks bearing our company's name and logo are being used in connection with several fraudulent schemes involving Shopper's Research Inc., Readers Digest, and a variety of lotteries. In each instance, the phony checks have been accompanied by letters that encourage recipients to activate the enclosed check.

Please note that Guardian is in no way affiliated with any of these fraudulent schemes.

If you receive one of these checks, do not attempt to deposit or cash it; your bank will reject it and may impose a fee. We recommend you immediately report receipt of this counterfeit check to the U.S. Postal Inspection Service through their Mail Fraud Complaint Form.Guardian is working with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and law enforcement agencies to resolve this matter.
