NEW YORK, September 14, 2007 — The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America (Guardian), a leading provider of employee and voluntary benefits for small and mid-size business, today announced that its dental network has experienced double-digit growth and is now the largest dental network in several cities and states, including California, Florida, New York Metro area, Rochester, NY; Buffalo, NY; Connecticut, Massachusetts, Nevada, Ohio and Texas. Guardian is a top three dental network nationally.
The network's expansion coincides with the back-to-school and open enrollment seasons and allows more families greater access to dental benefits.
Guardian's dental network has grown to more than 60,000 unique dentists nationwide.
Guardian emphasizes counting individual dentists in its network, unlike other networks that report provider locations or access points. The company believes that counting unique dentists provides a true picture of the number of dentists available to its customers.

"The expansion of our network couldn't come at a better time," said Richard Goren, DDS, Second Vice President, Group Dental, Guardian. "We've always been committed to providing a high-quality dental benefit to small and mid-sized employees and employers. Features such as annual maximum rollovers, discounts on vision benefits and xylitol products, standard dental implant coverage, oral cancer screening, adult fluoride treatments, and cosmetic teeth whitening are now available to more families as they make their benefits selections during the fall open enrollment season. Access to one of the largest networks in the country is particularly valuable for families who may have dependents, such as college students or children who reside outside of their usual dental network area."

Guardian is celebrating the 50th anniversary of providing employee benefits to small and mid-size businesses. Specializing in this market, Guardian serves more than 120,000 employers, and 6 million employees and their families. In honor of this milestone, the company has issued a series of educational surveys and reports to help employees, employersm, and benefit decision makers better understand how they can jumpstart their financial lives, improve recruitment, retention and employee satisfaction by maximizing the use and power of their workplace coverage. Three reports currently available in the series include:
Benefits & Behavior: The Voice of American Business Owners and Benefit Decision Makers Today. The report can be found at www.GuardianBenefits.com.
Benefits & Behavior: Spotlight on Group Life and Disability Insurance. The report can be found at www.GuardianBenefits.com.
