Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Phil Felice commented on Guardian's approach to wireless connectivity in a recent edition of the publication Insurance & Technology. The article describes how Guardian has developed a single application with the capacity to go out to different browsers and wireless devices in order to accommodate the large number of devices currently on the market, and in anticipation of the inevitable changes in wireless technology. The strategy enables independent financial reps to access information on the device of their choice. "If we chain ourselves down to a particular device it will be obsolete before we even write the code for it," says Phil. "Our wireless platform gives agents the ability to provide face-to-face interaction with their clients so they can originate a transaction at the device."
