NEW YORK, February 05, 2007 — The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America (Guardian) announced that Rone Baldwin has joined its Group Insurance division as Executive Vice President. With over 20 years of experience in executive management positions in insurance and financial services, Mr. Baldwin joins Guardian from Genworth Financial, where he most recently served as President and CEO of its Group Insurance division.

Timothy Bireley has also joined Guardian Group Insurance as the VP of Group Medical. Bireley has 25 years of experience in operations and financial management at various health insurance companies, including Assurant, where he was responsible for HSA and HRA product development.
Additionally, Guardian announced that John Foley, VP of Group Dental, has been appointed Chairman of the Board for the National Association of Dental Plans (NADP).

Guardian has one of the largest Dental PPO networks, with over 78,000 provider locations in its nationwide DentalGuard Preferred network. The company's offerings include coverage of dental implants and Maximum Rollover, which allows members to roll over a portion of their unused benefits for future use. Guardian Medical plans include: nurse outreach, wellness programs, analysis of drug and medical claims data, neonatal care, the nation's premier transplant network, and free outpatient lab testing. These services are in addition to nationwide access to over 450,000 network providers and 4,200 facilities.
