Introduction:
The Sales Manager position is one of the most important positions within the Guardian General Agency distribution system. This person has a major impact on the amount, frequency and persistency of revenue flows into their agency.
Position Description:
This position is responsible for recruiting, training, motivating, developing and supervising Financial Representatives. The Sales Manager is responsible for the combined performance of their sales team and for ensuring that each individual in the team reaches their performance goals.
Reporting Relationships:
Typically, the Sales Manager would report to the General Agent or someone designated by the General Agent.
Position Requirements:
The Sales Manager is responsible for the following: Recruiting and selecting quality sales associate candidates.Ensuring that all new associates receive training in all aspects of insurance and financial services (product knowledge, compliance, case preparation, sales skills, client service and The Living Balance Sheet).Through coaching, mentoring and day to day supervision, assist new associates in the development of their business practice (goal setting, identification and penetration of natural markets, personal organization and time management, sustained effort, focused behavior and activity management).Coordinating with experienced producers to arrange for joint field work for the new associates.Collaborating with other members of the agency management team to grow the agency.Committing to a professional development plan that will ensure continued personal growth and enhancement of required skill sets.
