What kinds of jobs are considered "corporate positions"?
Positions in any of Guardian's profit centers or support centers are considered "corporate positions."Guardian is made up of five "profit centers" that are responsible for making decisions about our product and service offering, marketing needs and business strategy. These profit centers are:

 Disability Income Insurance and Specialty Life Products
 Group Employee Benefits
 Individual Life Insurance and Business Insurance
 Trust Services
In addition, Guardian has several "support centers" that provide technology, financial and administrative functions for the company. These support centers include:

How can I search for a job?
On the Job Listings page, you will be able to search for open positions by job title, job location or business area, as well as determine how to sort the results (by date posted, job title, or job location).Use the menus on the Job Listings page to determine your search criteria. Use the first menu, Job Title, to search for open positions by a specific job title. Use the second menu, Job Location, to search for open positions in a specific office. Use the third menu, Business Organization, to search for open positions in a particular division of Guardian (for example, choose Information Technology to search for technology-related positions).You can use any of the menus, in any combination, or no menus at all. If you don't choose anything from the menus, your search results will include a list of all open positions. By default, results will be listed by date, most recent first. Choose Job Title or Location to sort by these criteria instead.
How do I submit a resume?
On the Job Listings page, you'll be able to search for an open position by job title, job location or business area. If any open positions meet your search criteria, they will appear on the search results page. The name of each open position is a link that brings up a complete description of the job. At the top of the job description page will be a link to apply. Click that link to send us your resume in one of three ways — online, via fax or through the U.S. mail.To submit your resume online, simply copy and paste your resume from the program in which it was created into the window titled "Copy and Paste Your Resume." Click Submit when you are finished.You will receive a confirmation screen indicating that we have received your resume and have added it to our resume database. Submitting your resume more than once will not increase your chances of being contacted. We will contact you if your skills and qualifications match a position we are trying to fill.
May I submit a cover letter, addressed to a specific individual, with my resume?
All resumes are received in a central database and sorted by job and skill set. It is not required that you submit a cover letter, however, you may do so by pasting it in the resume text field after the text of your resume.
Will I be notified if the job has been filled or if I make it to the next step in the application process?
If your skills and qualifications match what we are looking for, a representative from Guardian will contact you. We will not contact you if another applicant is selected for the position for which you have applied.Positions remain on our website until they are filled.
