NEW YORK, N.Y., May 16, 2011 — The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America (Guardian), one of the largest mutual life insurers and a leading provider of employee benefits, today announced Guardian FreedomSM, a new lower cost dental option that allows employers to increase benefits for covered employees while actively managing plan costs.
The Guardian Freedom Plan gives members a choice of networks with access to providers in Guardian’s premier PPO network, DentalGuard Preferred, or in Guardian’s DentalGuard Alliance PPO, which offers even greater claims savings through a select pool of dentists. Members can also choose to see a dentist outside of the two PPO networks.
“Guardian strives to develop plans that control costs while promoting the benefits of oral health through access to high quality dental networks,” said Chris Swanker, vice president, Guardian Group Dental. “In these challenging economic times, customers are seeking ways to offer enhanced benefits at a lower cost. Guardian Freedom is that option.”
Available now in Philadelphia and Southern California, the Guardian Freedom Plan will be introduced in additional markets throughout the year.
