Promoting Heart Health at the American Heart Association’s Wall Street Run & Heart Walk
Guardian volunteers in New York City on May 31 donated and raised a combined $17,300 for heart illness and stroke research during the American Heart Association’s annual Wall Street Run & Heart Walk. Our associates also set up a CPR awareness booth, teaching event spectators how to perform basic life-saving resuscitation techniques.
Guardian Volunteers and “Rebuilding Together” Renovate Home
On May 5, Guardian volunteers in Appleton, Wisconsin and the non-profit group Rebuilding Together joined forces to give an elderly Appleton man a home makeover that allowed him to continue living in the house he’s called home since he and his father built it back in the 1940s.
Local United Way Chapter Honors Guardian’s Bethlehem, Pennsylvania Office with Three Awards
The United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley on May 5 recognized Guardian’s Bethlehem, Pennsylvania office with three awards based on their 2011 United Way campaign. The Bethlehem office raised more than $269,000 in 2011 and $254,000 in 2010.
Guardian Volunteers and Habitat for Humanity Brighten New York City Community Center
Guardian's volunteers in New York joined forces with Habitat for Humanity New York City on May 4 for the organization’s annual "A Brush with Kindness" charity event, painting walls and murals inside the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Towers Community Center in Harlem, NY to brighten the lives of those who gather there on a daily basis.
